Trivium, or Bullet For My Valentine?

Trvium and Bullet have both recently released two fantastic albums; Ascendany and The Poison.

I've been flipping between each album, enjoying the classic metallica with poppy hooks of FFAF of bullet for my valentine, and the pure compassion and wonderful beat of Trivium.

The question is, who do you prefer?

I prefer Trivium. They do screaming better than Bullet and there lyrics and riffs seem to fuse a bit more smoothly.

What do you think?

Trivium really wind me up. I saw one of their videos, and I knew it was them before the text even came up, because they all had the 'scene' stance, and were headbanging simultaniously, and the music hadn't even started being played. I just went 'WTF!' and switched it over.

Pile of poo. =]. Haha.

I like to scream along to 'All These things I Hate Revolve Around Me' though.. I must say, it's a good scream-along-song. =]

Bullet, but I think both bands are up their own arses. Love Bullet's music though!

Dont see how theyre up there own asses, but Trivium as a new band certainly cemented themselves as a good band, the vast majority of Europe and US like them, that says alot.

as for Bullet For My Valentine? theres only one one song, that stood out an that was the one on Need For Speed Underground, Hand Of Blood.

Its good to drive fast to in an out of the game :)

i think i've heard of trivium, not heard any songs though. anyway, i'm sure they can't be worse that BFMV - they suck more ass than regular emo

I actually don't mind both of them. Trivium though, I think sounds more like the original metal bands, which I like.

Recently I have started to listen to Trivium though- Ascendance and the new album Crusade are great :D

must say though, triviums new album the crusade is rubbish, they shouldnt have changed so drastically.

Bullet are amaze, Trivium were alright until they brought out their latest album.
That frankly, was total crap.
I mean, where was all the screaming, y'know?

Both are good, but, IMO, Trivium are far better guitarists.. although, saying that, I think BFMV have better lyrics.

I'd say Trivium, never really liked BFMV. That said though i didn't really like Trivium's new stuff on "The Crusade", the last song on the album was dire. Ascendancy was awesome though, it has memorable songs unlike their first album which all seems to blend into one.

Well, i must say Bullet for my Valentine. Im not usually a fan of metal but they rock!!
The Poison is fantastic, cant think of one crappy song on there.

Lyrics are cool though, if not a bit err.. depressing but it works with the rhythem and sound.
