Please read bottom first, ty :)
I found some information on the game and thought it would be worth sharing, I decided not to put on Series' because it doesn't follow the traditional FF lines...
In Dirge of Cerberus, you play as Vincent Valentine, one of the lesser known characters from the Final Fantasy VII world. Vincent was an optional character in FFVII, but he plays an important role in the storyline, with a close relation to the main character, Cloud Strife. Dirge of Cerberus begins three years after the fall of Midgar as tens of thousands of soldiers are left locked away in the city's underground.
Dirge of Cerberus plays like a cross between a third person action game and a first person shooter. You normally view the action from behind Vincent's back, and as you move around and use a basic hand-to-hand combat, the view stays like this. Bring up Vincent's gun using the R1 trigger, and the camera zooms in, leaving Vincent at the left side of the screen, and giving you a near first person perspective.
The guns seem to have a magic side to them. While your gun is equipped, you can press L1 to perform a magic attack. There's some connection here to Materia, one of the cornerstones of the Final Fantasy VII world.
