Seeing as everybody seems to strongly disagree on this subject, post proof with clips.

American comedy for sure

America. Case closed.

Lets not forget Arrested Development and 30 Rock.

I'll never forgive British comedy for Little Britain. It just sucks so hard on so many levels.

I like different parts of both to be fair, all american would be a bit hard to say as half of it is complete shite, like 'friends'. Whereas I like things like the Simpsons, South Park etc.

Although the same applies to British, Monty Python and such things are brilliant, whereas some things again are complete shite.

British reminds me of my childhood.I will never grow tired of watching Dad's Army, Monty Python, Blackadder etc

But then American stuff can be good too. I love Scrubs etc.

I think for me british would win out though, cos I'm more emotionally attached to it. Haha.

I don't really have a particular stance to either, I love American stuff like the Simpsons and Scrubs, but I think you cannot beat Only Fools and Horses, do the Two Ronnies count? As they make me rofl.

If I want to watch watered down, brainless comedy which plays for the easy joke and has very little storyline then Il watch American comedy. Otherwise il stick to classic's like the British version of the Office, Only Fools and Horses, Royal Family, Phoenix Nights, Alan Partridge and others. No contest in my opinion...just shows what retards this country is now producing when people actually rate shows like everyone loves raymond and scrubs, althought it can sometimes raise a laugh most of the time the jokes are cringeworthy.

I didn't get it. :( *Is dumb*

Well, dear, noone really expects you to, seeing as only leaving the house to go to ASDA renders you with less than 10 brain cells.

December 14th '07, 08:15 PM
Agreed, but Scrubs pwns any british comedy, which is annoying.

Innamorata
December 14th '07, 08:44 PM
Scrubs is not better than Green Wing.

God.
December 14th '07, 08:47 PM
That, as mine was, is a matter of opinion. Neither correct, nor incorrect.

Kate
December 14th '07, 10:05 PM

Yeh I'm all for British now. I think on the whole its more clever. (Why does more clever sound wrong in my head when i know cleverer is wrong?)

God.
December 14th '07, 10:30 PM
I didn't say I'm all for American though, did I?

I just think Scrubs is very good.

Generally however, I'm all for British.

Alright i think im gonna have to break the rules and go with a all encompassing comedy. if you've smoked weed.... once... and didnt have a dramatic and life changing event that scared you so bad you will never touch it again... you will laugh at this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUD-8Xe1IPI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcsXxy8jhBY

but in the end im gonna have to go with American comedy. cause honestly i can't understand you guys

its retarded that we have different comedies. You can't really judge what is funnier by where it was made.

British for the win, purely because of Red Dwarf.
"This is you dave. This is you, I mean me, which is you, 150 years in the future. I know you can see me Dave, because I remember because I can remember seeing me at my age when I was your age"

i like the office an American workplace i have no idea why though
maybe because the cast seem a little bit more animated and happy compared to the cast of the original plus i have an on going hatred of Ricky Gervais he has just got one of them faces tht you just want to hit
