Hi, I’m an A2 student studying Media and i am currently undergoing a project which involves lots of research.

My topic for my critical research study is this: "How British and American crime TV shows differ; and are they true representations of cultural society?"

I would like to ask you just a few things.

Do you think that gun culture is truly represented in crime TV shows? And is it different from American to British?

Do you think that American crime TV shows are over-glamorising things (in programmes such as CSI) and does this make it less realistic?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if you could add anything about my topic, that would be extremely helpful.

Thanks.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Well seeing as we probably aren't that involved in all the areas of haevy gun crime and all that we probably wouldn't know how realistic they were.

CSI Miami is an amazing show.. and i probably watch too much of it.
but no, i don't think they are glamorising it at all. i think they try to make it as real as they can.

I don't know anything about British tv shows, so I don't know how they differ from each other
