Lump

I have a lump on my neck, that i have just discovered today and i'm really worried about it. It has never been there before and i don't no what it is.
My mum says its probably a cyst, but i dont know.
What do i do? :(

A trivial infection (the common cold, a sore throat, a pimple) can cause persistent enlargement of a single lymph node. An experienced physician can often tell by examining the lump that it has arisen from the skin or subcutaneous tissues.

So in other word go see a professional, such as your Doctor. ;)

If something's appeared and you know it's not normal, you should always make sure you get it checked out, just to be on the safe side.

Sometimes, cysts go by themselves, sometimes they don't.

I had one in my ear, but it disappeared, nearly completely. I've got one in my back, lol, I was supposed to have it removed at the doctors, just for my own safety later in life really, incase it became an abcess, but I don't trust that guy to perform any kind of surgery upon me. Lol. Considering when he bandaged up my knee, I could have done a better job myself, and I was only 9. =P
