They're gory. That's all they're based on. Gore. I think the people who made Saw are trying to be like George Lucas, and make a billion movies off of one subject. Hey, the Star Wars movies were good, but if Luke Skywalker died, and if he had a prodigal "son" to continue his work, would you really want to keep watching the movies? I mean come on.

Watched them all so far, there are ALOT more scary films out there, this one just has a lot of hype.

Seen them all, love them! Yeah just because there are more scarier horror films doesn't make them bad movies. Depends on the person. Blood and guts doesn't scare me (less is more) its the psychological horror films which do personally.
