Advertising TF!

Some of you may have noticed that TF isn't as active as it used to be. I'm personally on a mission to take TF back to the top by doing what I've done in the past and that’s advertising the forum I will do this by:

Making leaflets and giving them out to the public in my area (YMCAs, Childrens Homes)
Advertising on the internet, (Forums/Sites that allow advertisement)
Schools (Hope to be able to give leaflets to the school councillors’ who can hand them out to pupils they believe could benefit from TF)What can I do too help, I’m just a member?
There’s a lot you can do without even realising it. The forum maybe run by staff but the members make the site without you guys the forum wouldn't be here. You can help by telling your friends about the forum. Also if you’re on any other forum and the Admins ALLOW ADVERTISING then please feel free to do so because you will be helping TF and benefiting yourselves, every little helps lol.If anyone has any ideas I would be happy to hear them!

If you are on a social networking site such as MySpace, Bebo, Hi5 or facebook, you could write this website on your profile and they would be a great way of advertisnig. Or maybe see if your local newspaper does free advertisng and you could put in a small free add about this website into the paper.Telling everyone you know is a good way to advertise and get more people to join.

i already told my friends to join. One joined yesterday, my flatmate says she will join when she's got her essays outta the way. Cos she has to do her work, otherwise she'll get hooked on here lol.

besides...nuttall advertised it to death when i joined, and many of our friends are the same...so if they didn't join when i did...then they probably wont do now.

Ma sister gets this girly magazine, and in thems there is always a section to send in things to and that. Think theyd post the name o the site if I wrote in? I dunno why I thought of it, so I apologise if it sounds stupid. Its just ive flicked through mags like that before and they often have articles about people helping people, and about websites that help people and things like that. But even if they didnt do that, they could print ma email to them?

And I could get my sister to talk to people at school... I got her to join once, or twice.. but she always forgets.

Like on some graphics site I go on they have Photographer of the Week and Sig of the week and stuff like that.
Maybe we could do something like that but change what the competition is for. Like, poster of the week or something.

I think that's a great idea!
There could be competitions and challenges etc. I think it would be good for the site.

And maybe even hidden talents! Haha.

People can feel free to share ideas for promotion and stuff on here but please keep the following in mind.
1. We need to find a way to promote to a Younger Audience. It'd be nice to have Young Teens around the Place again. I'd really like to get the Education side of the site going again. :)
2. I'm overhauling the entire site in 2-3 Weeks so if you have any Simple changes in mind for the site, please Drop me an email before then (teenforums@shanerounce.com)

If anyone knows any advertising forums/sites if you could post them in this thread, i'll make a list and get round to writing up a formal piece of writing to post on there.

I suggest you check the most popular teen forums and steal their interesting threads.

You should check other forums and see which sections attract the most ppl, etc.
