Watched it ages ago, so i may get some facts wrong
Its basically about the first black man to enter the American diving thingo. Sortta like the army, cept like diving, i forget.
Anyways, he gets in and all the students and teachers are slack to him.
Theres a scene where he rescues his diving partner when they check out a sunk ship, and they award a white man for it instead.
Anywho, it follows through his life, and i was crying so much out of frustration for him.
So sad, yet utterly moving.
Anyone seen it?

I saw it a long time ago, but I didn't understand it then. Now that I look back I realize how powerful the film truly is.

Yeah its reall strong, and shows u how awfully he was treated.
