Searching for a job

I trying to get a job and I applied for an application but they haven't called me back I was informed that i would have to call the job and ask to speak to the manager do you guys have any advice on what I should say to him/her like how do I convince them to hire me.

You don't really convince 'em, be yourself and chat with them if they phone you but still be formal. If they think you got what it takes they'll decide

also keep asking for work or just work exp. aswell so they know your still eager to work there!
