k maybe overreacting slightly. Just a tad. But, theres this girl from high school who I've known since I was about 3, and we used to get on ok, used to be best friends, then in the later years of high school things turned sour and I got new friends, a different circle and basically grew up and lived my own life. Since them we've kept our distance, even though she only lives round the corner. She spends most of her days lying in bed for whatever reason. I'm not talking about a lie in, more like hibernation. ANYWAYS we went on holiday to south wales about 3 weeks, my boyfriend and I were casually playing tennis on the court, when we saw her and her mum walking on the path to the beach. How can this be, 4 hours into wales and we see them?! They were staying 4 bungalows down from us. Great great great. She came into the pool room and played pool with us etc but since we got back heard nothing, phew - I'm not prepared to turn back the clock. BUT last night at work the manager asked me if he knew this girl, lo and behold it was her he was on about, because she'd sent in her CV and wants a job. At our restuarant, everyone is given a job even if you're not up to it, cos thats how slave labour works lol. So now shes gonna be working at my work - not so much a strange coincidence on account of there are LOADS of restaurants in my area wanting waiting staff. So have I got myself a new stalker?! And what shall I do seeing as I've moved on and I don't really want any involvement?

I doubt she's stalking you. It just sounds like some random concidences, to me.

I'm guessing you know her pretty well, seeming as you used to be best friends?
Would she be the sort of person to stalk someone?
And maybe it's not stalking. She might miss you and want you to be her best friend again, thinking that nothing would be different.
However, if you do feel it's getting to the point where it's just plain scary for you, you might be best off paying her a visit for a quick word. Ask her why she wanted a job at the same restaurant as you etc etc.. and if she doesn't come up with feasible answers, then tell you you've noticed she seems to be doing everything you do/go places where you are.
If she realises you know, she might tell you why. Maybe she'll stop?

The vacation thing is probably just a coincidence, but the whole restaurant thing is a bit more suspicious. She probably wants to be friends with you again, but is too afraid to approach you. I have had similar experiences and usually they follow you around hoping you will say something. If I were you I would approach her and talk to her.

It seems like pure coincidence. But if she does stalk you, then you better tell her. But I don't understand. Why don't you want to be friends with her again?

i don't want to be friends with her again because i've moved on from the high school days, i don't want to go back to that because seriously it was like 4 years ago, and stuff changes, i've changed, and being mates again would really just be wrong seeing as it was mainly her that messed stuff up in the first place. i'm all for forgiving etc but i don't want to be re-involved. you may think i'm selfish but its too weird. maybe she isn't stalking me....yet. but of all the restaurants.... thats the weird bit.

Before going around saying it was her that messed things up you should probably think back 9or better yet talk to her. Maybe there was something you did to her that she didn't like.
Often times in situations like this both people can equally share the blame.

By listening to your posts, your (pre-best friend!) misses the fact that you have moved on and they maybe jealous you have friends. I don't wana freak you out even more, but one of YOUR friends might know her and tell her stuff i.e. what your going to be doin, or where you going to go on holiday? things like these, true friends can be bitchy sometimes or you just don't know them that well. But i would NOT let this issue get me down, thinking ... is there anyone out there watching me?? if they looked like a paedophile then yes worry O_O lol, but if its just an ordinary girl, she may have just lost her plot!
Please let us know, if you can how this situations going ???
