There's not an option up for me really.
I don't mind classical music, especially when I'm doing work, because I have no lyrics to end up singing along to, or to get distracted by.
I'm part of a woodwind band, which is basically an orchesta minus the strings. So for me, classical music isn't a bad thing. Admittedly it's not something you can put on full blast and dance to, but it's something which has a lot of emotion and feeling portrayed in the composition - if you actually listen to it.
So I can and do listen to it now and again, but it's not something I choose to listen to a lot of the time.
I prefer playing :P

I listen to it when I'm in the right mood for it. It's certainly not as bad as you are trying to make it sound.

hmm I like classical music but I don't like operas except "Carmen", "the magic flute" and "Peer Gynt"
I can understand that many people don't like classical music but I think the reason why they don't like it is that they don't perform on their own classical music or they don't understand them... I mean you need a certain skill to understand them...The skill is already born or you can learn it at school...
But of course the main reason for liking classical music is that everybody has different tates, right ???

I like classical, but alot of that stems from me being involved in music.

Nothing wrong with classical music, I listen to it sometimes, I grew up with it a lot of the time, considering we used to own a Bed & Breakfast and classical music was the ideal way to keep guests happy. There are a few songs I really like which are classical, can't actually remember the names off the top of my head though.

I think it's relaxing. As others have said, it's nice to listen to while doing work, too. I wouldn't listen to it everyday, but every once in a while when I'm in the right mood it's nice :)

Classical music is my favourite genre. In our country everybody listens to it(maybe that's because we have a free musical education, and most of us studies in musical schools).I have a lot of favourite composers: Vivaldi,Bizet,Tchaikovskiy,Rachmaninov,Verdi,Shtra us.Of course tastes differ but I think that's the best music.

I never used to, but I'm doing a Music A Level so I have to listen to it, and some of the stuff is actually pretty beautiful. I'm not so much a fan of the Classical era as I am of Romanticism though, its a lot more passionate and less repetitive.

I love Romeo and Juliet :O I'm a geek though :P
Its not as if I listen to classical music daily or anything, but I think its quite beautiful, and relaxing if you need to be relaxed. I don't think its crap at all, its better than a lot of the real crap that people now. It actually requires a lot of talent in every part of the production, which cannot be said for many types of music now.

Of course classical music is not crap... when combined with power metal. "Rhaposody of fire" for the win.

I like classical especially when painting. Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Holst and stuff like that. I prefer it without vocals though, opera isn't my thing. Unless it's opera metal, eg nightwish.

The only good song Nightwish have is the one played live with Tony Kakko :P

Classical music is fantastic. I love how many people have said its relaxing. Tried listening to the 1812 overture recently? Cannons relaxing? I think not.
I can't say I listen to it a huge amount, but I play it on the clarinet regularly.

I like to use the more mellow, slower tempo classical music as a bit of ambient noise while meditating.
Really helps to focus.

Classical music inspired Neoclassical guitar shredding!
Mikhael = Instant ban lol
Plus classical voice training for metal bands like Nightwish is awesome.

Definitely, though I'll admit I prefer the new vocalist for Nightwish. The little tongue-twisting between notes on Amaranth is awesome.
