I'm being serious, watched one after the other and apart from replacing white people with Black people and swapping Soccer for American Football there is no difference. They even kill the same guy off in the exact same way....
Anyone else noticed this?

Yes, when The Longest Yard came out at the cinemas. Lol.

It's supposed to be the same. I thought The Longest Yard ripped off Mean Machine but apparantley Mean Machine ripped off The Longest Yard (old version).
Well they didn't rip it off, they bought the story for it. But you know what I mean.

there both remakes of old film, and the original film was based on a book. which is ment to be a true story

I was thinking the exact same Shane when I watched Mean Machine on tv other day~Already seen the longest yard~

Longest Yard was shit IMO. I'm a huge Adam Sandler fan and think the quality of his films has somewhat gone down hill as of late.

Yeah, i agree that his films have been getting worse. The peak of Adam Sandlers career was probably 'Happy Gilmore'.

I'm not too surprised. In the United States the movie was advertised as a remake from the beginning.
It was just another example of Hollywood ruining a classic to make more money.
