George A. Romero will write and direct George Romero's Diary of the Dead, which his company Romero-Grunwald Productions will produce with Artfire Films.

The storyline revolves around a group of film students who encounter real zombies when making a horror movie in the woods.

Production is slated to begin October 11 in Toronto.

Romero most recently wrote and directed George A. Romero's Land of the Dead.
I hope its better than Land of the Dead...And for gods sake make it an 18 this time! :P

There is also going to be a remake of 'Day of the Dead' which will follow on from the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. The new film will star Ving Rhames (who survived Dawn of the Dead) and will include the fast zombies from the previous film :D

Yup, thats Dawn of the Dead.

The whole film was pretty pointless when you think about it, they survive inside the mall for almost 100 minutes of the film and then they all get killed on an island within 30 seconds, lol. Still a great film though :D

I've never actually seen the original Day of the Dead, but i think it has something to do with scientists trying to stop the outbreak.

And Land of the Dead is about a city that has inpenetrable walls to keep the zombies out, but somehow the zombies get smart and start to work in a team to overthrow and break through into the city. I thought it was stupid and the characters were crap (apart from Dennis Hopper, who was excellent as always).

Worth a download (or watch it on Sky if you've got it, its on Sky Movies from time to time), i wouldn't say its worth buying.

Try and Download the uncut version too, when Land of the Dead was at the cinemas it was a 15, on DVD it is an 18 (slightly gorier :D).
