I don't generally have a problem with chavs. As long as they stay the hell away from me, my house and cars, I'm fine. What I have a problem with are the ones who hang around outside my local Co-Op and cause trouble for everybody, asking them for change and cigarettes. If the people don't provide, they get abusive. I ended up placing my fist neatly in a chav's face before for calling me a "stupid wanker" because I don't smoke.

'Chavs' really get on my nerves. They seem to be the growing population of abusive, violent and the general 'scum' of teenagers and young adults alike. They give the repuation of 'bad youths' to all adults it seems, and it really is just driving me insane. I get a lack of respect as a young woman and a member of society from a lot of adults, merely because I am younger than them. Why should I be treated like scum, because majority of youngsters are fools? It's unfair and stereotyping.

I will always have time to grow up though, and become wiser and older, but alas, they won't, I bet. Spending most of their time messing around in lessons when they actually take time out to go to school.

What I find rather worrying though, is that if they can assault adults and abuse everyone around them who isn't defined as 'true chav' at such a young adolescent age.. Then what will they be like once they are legally classed as an adult? I'm pretty sure the local prisons won't want their walls bursting with inmates inconvicted of petty crime and theft - and that's if they carry on as they are doing now. Though I'm sure several will progress onto arson, GBH and several other offences as time goes on. Hell, even now quite a few have ASBOs because they just don't know how to behave appropriately in public.

Will they be the scum lining the streets, making it unsafe to exit your own house without fear of mugging, violence and even rape? Or will they grow up to be 'respectable citizens'? And to be honest.. I think citizen is hard to believe at this stage, let alone respectable.

If you think about it, the future seems pretty bleak for most of them. But it's hard to feel sorry for what they will become, because it will be self inflicted - because they wanted to be with the 'crowd'. The crowd of people who wanted to cause discomfort for everyone else walking down the street. Those who think nothing of hurting people, let alone animals. They will only have themselves to blame! They made the choice. But the thing to bear in mind is, how will they affect everyone else in the future?

My mum and dad's friend is a chief inspector or something high up in the police.. and the topic came up about chavs and gangs in the local area, so I announced to the table that c-h-a-v stood for 'council houses and violence' and everyone went quiet and turned round at me doubfounded.

In some senses it makes sense, but not all. Some chavs come from wealthy families. It's the group they choose to follow.

And out of interest, did anyone watch that programme on tv about Chavs? It was on not long ago, and the lady was defending them. Jeez, it made me so damn angry. She obviously hadn't been out of the streets lately and seen the damage and trouble caused by the so called 'chav' population. And she was actually saying they were innocent people! Jeez.

Me && Fliss were sat in a back alley in Bolton town centre smoking, when three chavs came up to us. We all sat in teh same back alley for a good hour, drinking the vodka they'd stolen from netto (defeats the point) and smoking.

They wouldn't be so bad if they weren't physically abusive or verbally to anyone else, but I suppose that sort of defines them.

I really dislike the ones who wait outside the bloody co-op in the closest town to me, why on earth do they always seem to hang outside co-op doors. More so than other super markets I have seen. Their mothers probably sent them with a shopping list, and they are just too embarrased to admit in front of their mates that they need to go in and get some grocerys.

Saw some the other day on me way to work beatin the shit out of a bus stop as usual for no apparent reason, glass ended up allover the street, theyd also done the phone box further up the road.

Best was when it started pissing it down a few minutes later, silly lil bastards had to stand in the rain then due to there only being an empty shell of a bus stop left, (Bezzin) and that they obviously wern't waiting for a bus, just had nothing else to do, talk about karma.

Twas just fucking annoying that anyone else using that stop or that part o the street had to put up with the shit theyd just caused such as also getting wet, or avoiding piles of glass and watching their kids don't fall onto it and so on as of course chavs have no consideration for others whatsoever.
