I never actually used mine, was was given the card and this sticky card thing to go over the top of it WHEN you get your own photo. They dont take the photo for ya. So both cards were in my wallet for ages and instead i just used my connextions card instead lol

Well it doesn't say its used for discounts on the back of the card if you look Luke.
It says "Carried at all times...must be produce if requested by security...if not you have to leave college...etc etc"

You have to have a seperate card, you have to apply for it, it'll tell you on the card when you have it where you can get discounts.

You can get loads of things for free, discounts on haircuts, money off at the cinema, the free stuff in mc donalds, try and use it everywhere.

I have seen people use them to get on the bus for 40p too, they just said they have not go there bus pass yet.

i had to pay about £8 for mine! it gets me a week saver on the bus for £12 rather than £15, but other than that i haven't used it at all. oh wait i bought a student railcard with it.

i tried to use it as ID to buy fags for a mate once as he didn't have any on him, but they said they don't accept NUS cos they can be easily forge. i showed my b_line card (derbyshire) and my connexions card, but they wouldn't have any of it. even though i was 17. they said i needed a driving liscence orr a passport. i was well pissed off, but then i realized that this was good as kids can't buy fags as easily and i'm against smokinga nd thinkit's awful that kids start early and all that. well annoying.

oh and no, i can't get a buss pass, cos i live just into derbyshire. like 5mins walk from the sheffield city boarderline. well annoying. everyone else gets 40p i get half fare (but only if the journey starts or ends in derbyshire) like mine to town is £2-10 for adults (single) but only £1-05 for me, same back, but if i went from sheffield to somewhere else in sheffield, like town to shane's, it would be full fare. more like...really un-FARE.

ive heard all about that, there doing it in clubs now aswell, unless you've got a driving liscence or a passport they dont have to legally serve u now. its all to do with the government cracking down etc.
