Featuring moi, Solange Knowles, Lyfe Jennings, Collie Buddz, The Whisperers, The Token Black Guy That Was Allowed On The Mic™ and some random other people that could/can sing and/or dance.
I have shots of UB40, Beyonce and Alicia too. I'll get round to posting those eventually :| Last edited by .am : 10-23-2008 at 08:10 AM |

These are great! Love how you got the background to be all black so as to highlight the artists. Did you do anything in Photoshop with the lighting?

Nope.
Spot metering; AUTO-ISO (~1600); f/2.. and I think the shutter speed clocked in at around 1/160-1/250s. Most people use matrix metering which will take the background into account and partially expose for that, too. |

Wait, so how do you get shots like that with that shutter speed, considering, there doesn't seem to be alot of light around?? I've been trying to do low light shots with a faster shutter speed and now matter what i do I cannot get it anywhere close to 1/250.

I was able to get that shutter speed for a few reasons: D3 + 200/2 + kick ass lighting guys. Oh - and meter for what your subject is, and not for the whole scene. |
